"Lao Yusheng"
Believe it or not? This was my very first time experiencing “lao yusheng”!!! “Yusheng” is actually a Chinese New Year dish, a salad dish made of thin slices of raw fish and various colourful array of ingredients, mixed with tossing action to prosperity and longevity, all adding to the good wishes for the new year. The higher the tossing action is and the louder the New Year greetings are, referring the hope of attracting the abundance or excess through the year! My family doesn’t practice doing this during Chinese New Year. Perhaps we can experience “lao yusheng” together one day. Thank you for arranging this to me! The experience of inviting good fortune via “lao yusheng” was so interesting.
